Disturbed by the state of Obafemi Awolowo Way/Odofin Road/Yewa/Baiyeku Road Junction near the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat, the Council Chairman, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), today, toured the road to assess how to address the situation.

The road that has been damaged for several years, unrepaired with part of its culvert collapsed already thereby restricting the movement of vehicles to a side.

In effect, this has been causing serious and persistent traffic jam and at times, leading to breakdown of vehicles especially heavy duty ones which also added to the traffic congestion.

Aroyewun, accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Wasiu Olowu, Comrade Ogunmuyiwa Kazeem and others, arrived at the site to assess the extent of damage and how to practically address the situation.

He was disturbed about the pain and inconvenience the situation has caused to residents and road users, stressing the urgent need for relief.

Following the on-site assessment, the council boss immediately contacted the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) and sought the agency’s intervention in addressing the road situation.
